Preventive Medicine: What You Can Do

for your own Prevention of Illness and Delay of Aging

It is extremely important that you begin the following medical regimens at the ages indicated and that you have the correct Lifestyle Habits.

Age Related Screening Tests

The American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine and other specialists in the field of Prevention have identified several important indicators of aging that should be followed by your physician or other health practitioner. These include:
  1. Tests for your Growth Hormone Levels (HGH or IGF level)
  2. Tests for Circulating levels of other Vitamins and Hormones in the blood
  3. Test to tell how well your Heart functions
  4. Test of your Lung function
  5. Tests for your Bone Health
  6. Nerve Conduction tests – How well your Nerves function.
  7. Circulation tests for the Blood
  8. Percentage of your body Fat compared to your Lean Muscle
  9. Tests of your Muscle strength
  10. Tests to see how quickly you can respond to a stimulus (sound, etc)
  11. Tests of your Balance, your Coordination and our Reaction time
  12. Basic Psychological tests
The age-related screening recommendations given below are those followed by many specialists in the field of Prevention and anti-aging medicine, including many of the specialists in the American Academy of Anti-Aging:

Please note that these are only general recommendations and that you should discuss your specific Health Screening Regimen with your doctor based on your own risk factors. For example, if you have a family history of breast cancer, your doctor may recommend more frequent screenings for breast cancer. If you have a family history of colon cancer or other specified colon conditions, your doctor may recommend more frequent screenings for colon cancer, etc.

NON-INVASIVE SCREENING TESTS

In addition to the above Screenings, there are centers that will conduct non-invasive tests for one or more of the recognized Biomarkers of Aging. These tests will help you to compare you “Chronological” (or Real) age to your “Biological” age (the way your body actually "functions").

The H-SCAN measures as many as 12 non-invasive Biomarkers of Aging at one sitting.
