Dr. Ronald Klatz

Dr. Ronald Klatz is recognized as a leading authority in the new clinical science of Anti-Aging Medicine. The founder and President of the American Longevity Research Institute, a not-for-profit public foundation established in 1984, he has pioneered the exploration of new therapies for the treatment and prevention of age-related degenerative diseases. President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, a scientific medical society which is exploring advances in biotechnology and preventive health-care, Dr. Klatz oversees educational programs for more than 4,300 physicians and scientists from 40 countries.

Further, his accomplishments include co-founding the National Academy of Sports Medicine, an internationally recognized educational institution, and serving as Director of New Product Development for Life Resuscitation Technologies, Inc. (LRT). LRT is a Life Sciences company which has been dedicated to the research and development of lifesaving medical technologies since its inception in 1989, and is a leader in the new science of human resuscitation.

Dr. Klatz is the inventor and/or developer of the 100-plus scientific patents owned by LRT. In 1993, he was awarded the Gold Medal in Science for Brain Resuscitation Technology from the International Inventions and New Products Exposition (INPEX). In 1994, the INPEX judges honored him with the Grand Prize in Medicine for Brain Cooling Technology. At the 1995 Exposition, Klatz was bestowed the Humanitarian Award for Human Resuscitation Research, and in 1996 he was recognized with the Silver Medal in the Medical Sciences Devices Division.

A bestselling author and editor, Dr. Klatz served as Senior Medical Editor of Longevity Magazine, a contributing editor to the Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and a syndicated columnist with Pioneer Press, a division of Time-Life Inc. He is the author of Brain Fitness, Hormones of Youth, Grow Young with HGH, Seven Anti-Aging Secrets, Advances in Anti-Aging, Stopping the Clock, Death in the Locker Room/Drugs & Sports, The E Factor, The Life Extension Weight Loss Program, and Deprenyl - The Anti Aging Drug.

Dr. Klatz is co-host of the national Fox Network television series Anti-Aging Update. A popular lecturer and television guest, he is a regular presenter at scientific conferences and has appeared on dozens of national and international television and radio broadcasts.

Dr. Klatz is a graduate of Florida Technological University and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa and is Board Certified in both Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He maintains an academic research post at Oklahoma State University as assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. A consultant to the biotechnology industry, and a respected advisor to several members of the U.S. Congress and others on Capitol Hill, Dr. Klatz devotes much of his time to research and to the development of advanced biosciences for the benefit of humanity.
